...And We're Off!
It's almost here!
The Worldwide Short Film Festival is around the corner and we're bigger and better than ever (not that you'd expect any less!). With a record breaking 4,768 submissions, we’re thrilled to offer a diverse range of 244 short films for you to see.
What's new (and exciting!) for this year's fest:
- We kick off with a day of FREE screenings in Dufferin Grove Park on June 3rd. In the afternoon, grab your picnic basket and join us for the family friendly Shorts for Shorties: Flick-Nic and then in the evening we celebrate Christmas in June!
- For the horror fan, the night owl, or anyone who loves a good test of endurance, we present The Night Shift -a midnight movie marathon for those who dare (whatever you do, don’t fall asleep!)
- Even more of our popular Towering Shorts series with Shorts for Shorties: Mission to the Milky Way, Date Night and Laughter Without Borders. Watch a set of shorts, and then do an activity at the CN Tower! Shorties includes an animation workshop from the NFB, Date Night includes coffee & dessert at Horizon's Restaurant, and Laughter Without Borders includes a drink and appetizer! But wait- there's more! Your ticket also includes access to the Look Out and Glass Floor levels of the CN Tower.
- Filmmaker Jean-Marc Vallée (Café de Flore, C.R.A.Z.Y.) will be joining us for a master class on June 9. Make sure to grab your ticket before they run out!
We can't even begin to cram all of this year's goodness into one post, so we suggest grabbing a coffee, and giving all of this year's programs a read through. There is something for everyone!
