Celebrities Are Shorter Than They Appear

Warning: The famous people you are about to see are shorter than they appear.

Celebs are keeping it short at #wsff12, where there will be plenty of stars in for you to set your sights on.

Over 30 famous faces make appearances in 22 shorts, ranging from A-listers to indie kids to homegrown Canadian talent. Michael Fassbender (Shame) appears in Pitch Black Heist, while the Scott Schaeffer short The Carrier features a star-studded cast with Rita Wilson (Sleepless in Seattle) as a grieving mother seeking out her deceased’s sons past lovers. The film stars “One Tree Hill” heartthrob Chad Michael Murray alongside Academy Award winner Anna Paquin (“True Blood”).

Canadian talents like 2012 Academy Award winner Christopher Plummer (Beginners) contributes his voice to the NFB vampire animation Kali The Little Vampire, a sweet little short about a lonely vampire searching for friends. Adorkable Canadian indie kid Michael Cera (Juno) stars in The Immigrant with fellow canuck Scott Thompson (“Kids In The Hall”) and Dave Foley (“Kids In The Hall”), as well as comedienne Margaret Cho.

Those seeking some celeb avec les sous-titres, fear not! Emmanuelle Béart (Mission: Impossible) and Denis Lavant (Holy Motors) star in the powerful Withering Love (Les Amours Perdues).

Celebrities belong in shorts—not pants—so it’s worth crying, laughing or dancing yours off to catch the likes of John Malkovich, Judi Dench, Jake Gyllenhaal, Helena Bonham Carter, Stellan Skarsgård, David Duchovny, Rainn Wilson, and even McLovin' himself, Christopher Mintz-Plasse! at WSFF! And don’t forget tickets are available to purchase online!
